The Chicago Cubs Clinch Central Division

The Chicago Cubs were unable to secure the Central division last night losing 5-4 to the Milwaukee Brewers, but a couple of hours later the San Francisco Giants defeated the St. Louis Cardinals to hand the Cubs the National League Central title. It the first division championship since the 2008 season.

The Cubs have been in first place since April 8th, running away with the division with a combination of pitching, strong defense, and outstanding hitting. A team that has two MVP candidates in Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant (Addison Russell should get some votes). The Cubs pitching has three starters vying for the Cy Young award in Jake Arrieta (2015 winner), Jon Lester and Kyle Hendricks.
