2016 is proving to be another MVP like season for Mike Trout. He has a slash line of .324/.429/.571 as the first half of the season comes to a close. He has delivered 18 home runs with 57 RBI, and 15 stolen bases. He gets done in centerfielder, and is the best player currently in the game.
The Angels are buried 17 games out in the American League west. The Angeles have the worst farm system in all of baseball as graded by most pundits. They continue to voice they will not go through a rebuilding. Some have suggested trading Trout for a plethora of young talent. That in my estimation would be hard to swallow for Angels fans. His talent that comes around once in a lifetime for most major league teams.
Realistically, the Angels won't be competitive in coming years. The talent pool is too shallow, but Angels fans can enjoy the MVP like seasons that Mike Trout will continue to produce.
