The Chicago Cubs have lost outfielder/catcher Kyle Schwarber for the remainder of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament in his left knee. He was injured in a collision with centerfielder Dexter Fowler in last night's game in Arizona.

The Cubs have a deep team with Jorge Soler, Matt Szczur, and Javier Baez all expected to be part of the mix in leftfield. The Cubs one of the deepest teams in baseball will have Ben Zobrist, who can play some left-field for them. The late signing of Dexter Fowler turns out to be a huge acquisition for the team.
