Shane Victorino was told this week that he would not make the Cubs 40-man roster by manager Joe Maddon. He weighed his options, and will stay with the Cubs organization for the time being. Victorino has battled a calf injury during Spring Training, which has limited his playing time. Victorino will stay in Arizona rehabbing in Extended Spring Training. CSN Chicago is reporting that the Cubs have offered him a month at AAA Iowa (once his rehab is done) to see if he can still play at the Major League level. Victorino has been hampered by injuries the last two seasons.
